Could this be the year a media team wins AAJA-LA’s Trivia Bowl? Or, will another legal team — as they have during the last three years — reign supreme?
Join us for Trivia Bowl XIV, the chapter’s signature fundraiser and competition, to find out. The event is on Friday, Oct. 17, at the ABC7 Broadcast Center in Glendale. Doors will open at 6 p.m.; dinner served at 6:30 p.m. Game begins promptly at 7 p.m. Proceeds from the annual event support the chapter’s scholarship, internship and professional development programs.
Last year, the team of Fong & Chun and the law offices of Stuart Folinsky scored 70 of a possible 100 points, defeating 20 other entrants for first place and possession of the coveted Rice Cup. In doing so, they proved yet again that the lawyers were superior to the journalists in their knowledge of trivia.
This year, Wahoo’s Fish Taco will again be providing its signature fish tacos, rice and black beans to Trivia Bowl participants. This will be the Orange County-based restaurant chain’s fifth year of supporting Trivia Bowl.
