MENTORSHIP: Become a mentor, make a positive impact

Do you remember your first journalism job?

Those rookie mistakes.

Those hard-knock lessons that come from being a beginner.

Do you have an interest in helping a college student, recent grad, or AAJA member in their first journalism job avoid those same mistakes?

AAJA has created a national mentorship program aimed at helping the next generation of PRINT and ONLINE journalists. The organization is currently working with colleges and community colleges nationwide, and with our membership, to find those who would like YOUR help.  We’re looking for industry professionals who have a desire to make an impression on a fresh-faced group of journalists learning the nuances of the profession.

If interested, send a short bio about yourself to aajamentorship@gmail.com.  For more information about the mentorship program, click here.
