The <a href="http://www.spj.org/convention.asp" target="_blank">2010 SPJ Convention &amp; National Journalism Conference</a>, Oct. 3-5 in Las Vegas, is the industry event for all journalists in all forms of media.</p>

<p>The purpose of this tour is to bring all Asian communities together to share in this experience and celebrate through entertainment.</p>
<p>May marks a very special month for the Asian American community.  Not only is it a month where we gather together to commemorate our history and the progress we have made as a whole, but we come together to celebrate the diversity and uniqueness of our culture as well.</p>
<p>For the past two years, the APAHM Tour has strived to become the platform that showcases Asian American culture and talent nationwide.  The APAHM Tour is a concert series that tours the top cities most populated by Asian Americans in the U.S.</p>
<p>This year marks the first year we will be collaborating with a more international clientele of entertainers.  Our special guest, Taiwanese American artist and actor Van Ness Wu, along with artist Evonne Hsu and Singaporean artist JJ Lin will be touring with us throughout five major Asian American cities (Seattle, New York, Washington DC, San Francisco and Los Angeles).</p>
<p>The APAHM Tour is more than a concert as it serves acknowledge, showcase and promote Asian American culture through entertainment across the U.S.  This has been our purpose since its birth and we strive to uphold this standard still.</p>

<p>The annual Asian American Journalists Association returns to Los Angeles for the first time in 17 years August 4-7, 2010 at the Renaissance Hotel near the world-famous Hollywood &amp; Highland entertainment complex. Our world-class program features panels and workshops to strengthen your skills in this dynamic field. Learn new technologies and techniques for investigative journalism, developing stories for multi-media platforms, covering ethnic communities and foreign coverage.</p>

<p>Going to the Los Angeles convention? The Port of Long Beach, one of the busiest and most scenic seaports in the world, would like to welcome AAJA Convention attendees with a complimentary cruise of the Long Beach Harbor and dinner.</p>
<p>The two-hour tour will offer a unique glimpse into global trade and the port that handles nearly a quarter of all containers moving through West Coast ports. Enjoy the beautiful Long Beach skyline, see the historic Queen Mary and soak in the Southern California summer. Transportation will be provided from and to the convention hotel.</p>
<p>The Port of Long Beach is generously donating this cruise but we hope that you will consider a suggested donation of $20 per person which will go towards AAJA-Los Angeles scholarships and programs. The cruise is only available to the first 100 people who RSVP by July 16. All others will be put on a waiting list and will be notified if there are cancellations.</p>
