The Greater Los Angeles chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists invites you to join us on Monday, Nov. 24, for a panel discussion with a journalist, filmmaker and researcher on the media’s coverage of race while reporting crime and violence. Our speakers include:
— Celeste Fremon, writer for Witness LA, The Huffington Post and LA Weekly
— M.K. Asante, Jr., author and filmmaker
— Otto Santa Ana, researcher with the UCLA Cesar E. Chavez Center
