SCHOLARSHIP: Application deadline November 3

Applications are now being accepted for AAJA scholarships for the 2010-2011 school year.

The Los Angeles chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association awards up to $10,000 in scholarships each year to deserving students who reside in Southern California or attend universities in the Greater Los Angeles area. Last year, students from USC, UCLA, Chapman University, Los Angeles City College, UC Irvine and Cal State Northridge received scholarships ranging from $500 to $2,500.

We’re looking for the best in television, radio, print, photography, news design and multimedia. Your work will be judged by a distinguished panel of professionals led by Frank Buckley, co-anchor of the “KTLA Morning News,” and Henry Fuhrmann, assistant managing editor of the Los Angeles Times.

Applications and supporting material must be RECEIVED by Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010.

Winners will be notified by November 15.
