Calling all freelancers:

Join AAJA-LA and Opodz on Thursday, April 6, for a Freelancer Job Fair. Here’s a chance to meet editors and managers responsible for reading pitches and making assignments. What format do editors prefer for pitches? Is the publication more evergreen or breaking news? Speak with editors from the Los Angeles Times, NBC Asian America, Mel Magazine, Roads & Kingdoms, Storyhunter and more! 

The fair will take place at Opodz at 362 E. 2nd St, in Little Tokyo from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. .

We’ll have any updates, photos, etc on the Facebook event.

Parking Info:
Opodz on-site parking lot is operated by Joe’s Parking (360 E. 2nd Street). They offer a $9 flat-rate during the day, which become $5 flat-rate after 4pm and on the weekends. Alternatively, the lot on 3rd/Central for a $5 flat-rate. It’s a short walk about two blocks down from Opodz. Street parking is available but limited, with meters active until 7pm or 8pm.
