The deadline to pre-register early for the Detroit AAJA National Convention is June 17. The fee will cost $75 more from then on. We hope you’re able to come down to the Motown and automobile capital!

If you would like to take advantage of the networking, valuable workshops, access to national media recruiters and fun that the Detroit convention will offer – but you are experiencing serious financial difficulty (layoffs, furloughs, cut in hours, etc..), please apply for a stipend to cover the registration and travel costs.

AAJA-LA will be making an UNPRECEDENTED 15 professional fellowships AND 10 student fellowships available.  The student fellowships will be $500 and the professional stipends will be worth $700.  Stipend recipients will be asked to volunteer a minimum of eight hours at the convention AND volunteer for AAJA-LA’s Trivia Bowl on October 14, AAJA-LA’s marquee event of the year.

Registration to the convention for professional members is $300.  Student members pay only $150.  The rest of the money can be used for travel, lodging, and other accommodations.
