Cynthia Wang promoted to assistant editor of People Magazine
Nov. 19, 2007 Cynthia Wang has been promoted to assistant editor of People magazine, where she was an associate bureau chief for the publication’s LA office. Wang currently serves as AAJA National Treasurer and AAJA-LA board member and is a graduate of the ELP Class of 1998 in New York.

2007 Los Angeles Chapter Scholarship Recipients
The Los Angeles Chapter of AAJA is pleased to announce eight winners in this year’s competition for local scholarships, which total $10,000. To apply for the scholarship, applicants needed to complete a six-part application that included a resume, official school transcript, two letters of recommendation, short essay and work samples.

Internship Stipends The L.A. chapter offers stipends to subsidize AAJA-L.A. members who take unpaid or low-paying internships. The program is open to students, recent graduates and beginning professionals with less than a year experience. Two $500 stipends are available each trimester (fall, spring, summer).
