FEBRUARY 2012

To kick off what would be a banner year, AAJA-LA held a spring mixer at FarBar to help members get to know each other and present the chapter’s goals for the year.

Smack in the middle of Little Tokyo, more than 50 chapter members, their colleagues and friends came out to mix and mingle over food and drink on a Tuesday night. At FarBar, chapter leaders laid out the benefits of membership, previewed the first ever V3 conference, and laid out the benefits of attending UNITY. That night, the chapter offered discounted new memberships and several attendees joined on the spot. The event was free for AAJA-LA members, several of whom sought new ways to get involved with the local chapter in the coming year.

Many attendees stayed for hours, making the event was so successful that the chapter plans to host another mixer in January 2013. Stay tuned for details.
